Basketball Game Preview: Newport Harbor Sailors vs. Edison Chargers

Newport Harbor is 1-9 against Edison since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Newport Harbor Sailors will head out to challenge the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Newport Harbor opened the new year with a less-than-successful 69-57 loss to Los Alamitos.

Meanwhile, Edison entered their match against Los Alamitos on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Edison had to suffer through a 74-44 loss at the hands of Los Alamitos.

Newport Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Edison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

Newport Harbor came up short against Edison when the teams last played on Monday, falling 64-53. Can Newport Harbor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
