Softball Recap: Santa Fe Indians vs. Lutheran South Academy Pioneers

Santa Fe won the last time they faced Lutheran South Academy and things went their way on Friday too. Santa Fe came out on top against Lutheran South Academy by a score of 6-3.

Santa Fe got a great performance from Avery Williams as she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Williams a new career-high.

At the plate, Santa Fe let Cecilia Reyes and Mikayla Nations run wild. Reyes went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple, while Nations went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits Nations has posted since back in February.

The victory got Santa Fe back to even at 10-10. As for Lutheran South Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
