Baseball Recap: Family Christian Flames vs. Donaldsonville Tigers

Family Christian can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Everything went their way against the Donaldsonville Tigers as the Family Christian Flames made off with a 15-3 win. The victory was just what Family Christian needed coming off of a 15-0 loss in their prior match.

Sam Stewart made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Stewart was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Caleb Costa was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Tayden Wheeler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Family Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-12. As for Donaldsonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Family Christian will be playing at home against Northeast at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Family Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season. Donaldsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
