Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak at Home

Half Moon Bay never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers by a score of 5-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Connor Heath, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Half Moon Bay's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Rancho San Juan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Half Moon Bay Cougars take on Terra Nova Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Terra Nova will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Half Moon Bay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rancho San Juan, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Alisal at 4:00 p.m. Alisal's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Rancho San Juan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
