Baseball Preview: Kecoughtan Warriors vs. Hampton Crabbers
The Kecoughtan Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Hampton Crabbers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kecoughtan will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
While Kecoughtan's win against Woodside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Wolverines on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 30, 2025.
The team relied heavily on Kason Boone, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Mumford, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kecoughtan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.
