Volleyball Game Preview: Dr. Phillips Panthers vs. Windermere Wolverines

Dr. Phillips is 2-7 against Windermere since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It was a proper cat-fight when Dr. Phillips challenged Tohopekaliga on Wednesday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Windermere suffered their biggest defeat since March 25th on Thursday. They came up short against Horizon, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

While Windermere ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.

Windermere's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-11. As for Dr. Phillips, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 10-5.

Dr. Phillips suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Windermere when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
