Basketball Recap: Taylor County Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Taylor County came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-49 W against the North Laurel Jaguars. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 68-63 win the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Taylor County's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. As for North Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Taylor County will square off against Marion County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
