Basketball Recap: Takoma Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southern Maryland Christian Academy last Monday, Takoma Academy came back down to earth. The Takoma Academy Tigers fell just short of the Clinton Grace Christian Eagles by a score of 60-57 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-50 back in December of 2024.

Takoma Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Clinton Grace Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Takoma Academy will host King's Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. King's Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Takoma Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clinton Grace Christian, they will face off against Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton Grace Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Southern Maryland Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
