Baseball Recap: El Camino Comes Up Short

El Camino had lost six straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-18 to make it seven. They came up short against the Half Moon Bay Cougars, falling 9-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Nicholas Jang made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. Another player making a difference was Caleb Olivares, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

As for Half Moon Bay, their win bumped their record up to 11-16. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Half Moon Bay's side, Jason Couto was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The Cougars are 3-1 when Couto posts two or more runs, but 8-15 otherwise. Gio Ormando was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As of now, neither El Camino nor Half Moon Bay have any future games scheduled.
