Wasilla took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Chugiak, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors skirted past the Mustangs 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 31, 2025.

Wasilla saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bridger Berta, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Jacob Johnson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Wasilla's record is now 6-2. As for Chugiak, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.
