Softball Recap: Arkadelphia Comes Up Short

Arkadelphia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-4 to the Nashville Scrappers. If the Badgers were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Scrappers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Arkadelphia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hallie Watson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another was Kaylen Beard, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Arkadelphia now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Nashville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Arkadelphia will face off against Bismarck at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Badgers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Nashville will be paying especially close attention to Arkadelphia's match: after Arkadelphia faces off against Bismarck, they'll take on Nashville again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
