Soccer Recap: Mandeville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ponchatoula last Friday, Mandeville came back down to earth. The Mandeville Skippers fell just short of the Fontainebleau Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Skippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Mandeville's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 15-7-4. As for Fontainebleau, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-3-8 record this season.

Mandeville will take on St. Michael at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fontainebleau, they will square off against Ponchatoula at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
