Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Muscle Shoals). They greeted the New Year with with a 65-49 victory over the Athens Golden Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Muscle Shoals now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Athens, they moved to 13-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muscle Shoals will head out to face off against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Athens, they will venture away from home to challenge Hartselle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
