Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Mission Oak's 11th in Last 13 Outings

Mission Oak won against Tulare Western on Wednesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Hawks beat the Lemoore Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Deegan Sartuche spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Mission Oak is 7-1-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Mission Oak saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Boston Frediani, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those two hits gave Frediani a new career-high.

Mission Oak has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lemoore, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
