Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Cavaliers vs. Washington Warriors
If Jefferson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Roosevelt on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers fell 3-1 to the Washington Warriors on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 20-25, 25-17.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Jefferson and Pierre T.F. Riggs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers are facing the Governors at the right time seeing as the Governors are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Washington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mitchell on the 30th.
