Recap: Farmersville Farmers vs. Collinsville Pirates
The Farmersville Farmers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Collinsville by a score of 63-51 on Friday.
Collinsville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Scott, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Scott scored a full 27.5% of Collinsville's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Landon Carpenter, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Farmersville's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Collinsville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Farmersville is on the road again on Saturday and play against Lone Oak at 9:55 a.m. on December 9th. Collinsville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tournament Opponent. Tournament Opponent has now lost 18 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
