Baseball Recap: Largo Takes a Loss

If Largo was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Pinellas Park on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Packers lost 19-0 to the Countryside Cougars on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Packers were not able to get on the board.

Largo now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Countryside, they moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Largo will face off against Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.25 runs per game on average), something the Packers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Countryside, they will square off against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
