Recap: McKinley Tigers vs. Moanalua Menehune
The McKinley Tigers lost against the Moanalua Menehune back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. McKinley was beaten by Moanalua 59-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McKinley in their matchups with Moanalua: they've now lost four in a row.
Moanalua found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Kimbrough, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Tramir Ladipo, who scored ten points.
McKinley bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Moanalua, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-14.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kalaheo the next time they take the court. McKinley will head out to face Kalaheo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Moanalua will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
