Baseball Game Preview: Calvin Cougars vs. Weston Wolves

Calvin hasn't had much luck against Weston recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Calvin will be playing in front of their home fans against Weston at 4:30 p.m.

Calvin fell victim to Winnfield and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 9-0 to the Tigers. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Weston's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to West Ouachita on Tuesday. Weston narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Quitman 14-12. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won four in a row.

Bryce Zehr was incredible, scoring four runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Drew Browning, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Weston's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Calvin, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
