Basketball Recap: Peter Machado's Big Game Can't Quite Lead International over Bethesda Christian

International lost against Bethesda Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The International Gryphons took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethesda Christian Patriots. The Gryphons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

International lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peter Machado, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evan Johnson, who posted 16 points.

International's record is now 2-5. As for Bethesda Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

International will take on BELIEVE Circle City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International is facing BELIEVE Circle City at the right time seeing as BELIEVE Circle City is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Bethesda Christian has already played their next match (against Greenwood Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
