Basketball Game Preview: Halstead Dragons vs. Abilene Cowboys

The Halstead Dragons will square off against the Abilene Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Halstead will be strutting in after a victory while Abilene will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, Halstead strolled past Larned with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Indians are ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Abilene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 67-44 to Buhler, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Halstead's win bumped their record up to 8-0-1. As for Abilene, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
