Soccer Recap: Corrigan-Camden Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Corrigan-Camden can now relate to. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the New Summerfield Hornets who were credited with the win on Thursday. The New Summerfield Hornets got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs' one. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Tiffany Alvarez and Madysen Cooper scored both of Corrigan-Camden's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Corrigan-Camden dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for New Summerfield, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-9.

As of now, neither Corrigan-Camden nor New Summerfield have any future games scheduled.
