Volleyball Game Preview: Chicopee Pacers vs. Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles

The Chicopee Pacers will face off against the Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Chicopee didn't have quite enough to beat Westfield and fell 3-2. The Pacers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Chicopee took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 17-25, 25-17, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Easthampton/Hampshire came up short against Amherst-Pelham Regional on Friday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-16.

Chicopee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-11.

Chicopee beat Easthampton/Hampshire 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Pacers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
