Soccer Recap: Lebanon Takes a Loss

Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Smyrna Bulldogs. Lebanon were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Smyrna earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Max Wosiak and Andres Granda Velasquez scored both of Lebanon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Smyrna, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lebanon is set to face off against their familiar foe Cookeville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Smyrna will take on rival Wilson Central at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
