            Baseball Recap: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Mountain View Toros        
        
		
        
        
            Mesa had lost three straight on the road, but  on Thursday they dropped their record down to 4-20 to make it four. They lost  10-0 to the Mountain View Toros. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Toros this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  16-0  on Tuesday.
As for Mountain View, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games.
For Mountain View's part,  the result came thanks to  Justice Yanke's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up eight Ks. Yanke also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because the Toros are undefeated when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Mitchell Lamoreaux, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Person, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesa will face off against Highland at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will square off against Higley at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
