After a string of four wins, Oshkosh West's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Kimberly Papermakers, falling 77-28. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Papermakers are ranked fourth).

Oshkosh West's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Kimberly, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Oshkosh West Wildcats duke it out with the Fond du Lac Cardinals at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Kimberly, they will face off against Appleton North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kimberly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Appleton North likes a good challenge.
