Basketball Recap: Park Christian's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

Park Christian hadn't done well against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Park Christian Falcons secured a 55-49 W over the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Comets are ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Park Christian pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Christian will welcome Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, they will challenge Parkers Prairie at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
