Basketball Recap: Spring Hill Takes a Loss

Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gilmer Buckeyes. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 55-41 to the Buckeyes when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Gilmer, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.

Coming up, Spring Hill will welcome Cumberland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.79 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gilmer, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-48 defeat against Kilgore on the 22nd.
