Volleyball Recap: Ellendale's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Ellendale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Kindred Vikings. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kinsey Middlestead paced Ellendale's offense, picking up seven kills. Middlestead got some help from Mya Glynn and her 17 assists.

Ellendale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Kindred, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Ellendale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg on the 4th. As for Kindred, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
