Baseball Recap: Jacobs Takes a Loss

Jacobs lost against Barrington back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jacobs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Barrington.

Andrew Deegan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gavin Grummer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Jacobs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Barrington, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs will challenge Harvest Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Barrington, they will take on Cary-Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
