Softball Recap: Marshalltown Has No Trouble Against Lincoln

Marshalltown won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Monday too. The Bobcats blew past the Railsplitters 11-3. Considering the Bobcats have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Marshalltown and bumps their season record up to 4-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Lincoln, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshalltown will host Ottumwa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will welcome Mason City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
