Football Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pinecrest Academy Cadence can now relate to. They and the Mojave Rattlers were almost perfectly matched up on Wednesday, but they suffered a 13-12 defeat. The Cougars lost against the Rattlers in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-0 score last time.

Although Pinecrest Academy Cadence took the loss, they still got scores from Leyton Gasperosky and Patricia Monacelli.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Mojave, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mojave, they will face off against Arbor View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Arbor View is on a six-game streak of home wins, Mojave a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
