Basketball Recap: Rockingham County Takes a Loss

Rockingham County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The game between them and the Northeast Guilford Rams didn't end well, with the Rockingham County Cougars falling 92-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (61), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Rockingham County lost, don't look at Dalton 'Dynamite' Johnson. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine assists. That was a full 39.5% of Rockingham County's points, marking the 12th time in a row Johnson has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Rumbley, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
