Volleyball Recap: Peninsula's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Peninsula waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Carson Colts. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why Carson lost, don't look at Priscilla Alcayaga. Despite the final result, she had four digs and two aces. Ashannalee Titialii also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Peninsula's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Carson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Peninsula and Carson will both be playing Saint Joseph the next time they take the court. The Colts will head out to face the Jesters at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
