Football Recap: Pantego Christian Skates Past Dasche with Ease

While Pantego Christian put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for DasCHE. The Panthers really took it to the Spartans for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-0 victory. The Panthers pushed the score to 48-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans had no chance of recovering from.

Pantego Christian found their leader in sophomore Hayes Young, who rushed for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 65 yards and one TD. Young showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 53 yards.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Pantego Christian, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Landry Kemp, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Pantego Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB eight times. Brendan Osborne was especially locked on to DasCHE's QB and sacked him four times.

Pantego Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points this season. As for DasCHE, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pantego Christian will challenge Mercy Culture Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DasCHE, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
