Soccer Game Preview: Bellevue East vs. Lincoln Northeast

The Bellevue East Chieftains will challenge the Lincoln Northeast Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bellevue East will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln Northeast will be coming in after a loss.

Bellevue East headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Omaha Northwest let them put that streak behind them. The Chieftains' defense stepped up to hand the Huskies a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Haylie Serrano was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Columbus, falling 3-0. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Lincoln Northeast it sure didn't stay that way.

Lincoln Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bellevue East, they moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bellevue East beat Lincoln Northeast by a goal when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 1-0. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
