Game recap: Papillion-LaVista High School Football Team takes down Lincoln East

MaxPreps LINCOLN & HASTINGS High School Football.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Alec Ditoro threw two touchdowns and ran for two more as Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, Neb.) beat Lincoln East (Lincoln, Neb.) 31-10 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on an Ditoro touchdown pass to Lucas Hostetler in the second quarter, the Monarchs led 17-10 at the half.

Papillion-LaVista grew its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. PL scored once in the quarter on an Ditoro touchdown pass to Hostetler.

Lincoln East's lone touchdown came on a 55-yard run in the first quarter.



The victory was a step in the right direction for the Papillion school, which was coming off a 44-34 defeat at the hands of Papillion-LaVista South in its previous game. The defeat comes as a step back for Lincoln East, who notched a 42-10 victory over Fremont in its previous outing.

Lincoln East (1-1) will play a non-conference game against North Platte next week, while Papillion-LaVista (1-1) will take on Omaha South also in a non-conference game.
