Softball Game Preview: Rushville Lions vs. Franklin County Wildcats

The Rushville Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Franklin County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rushville is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Rushville fell victim to Greensburg and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Franklin County faced off against Lawrenceburg on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-7. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Brooke Stang made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bailey Kaiser was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Rushville might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Franklin County in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
