Basketball Game Preview: South Davidson Wildcats vs. Thomasville Bulldogs

South Davidson is 1-9 against Thomasville since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Davidson Wildcats will challenge the Thomasville Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Davidson is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of River Mill. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Jaguars 16-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Thomasville fought the good fight in their overtime game against Williams on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 70-62 to the Bulldogs. Thomasville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Thomasville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

South Davidson was dealt a bruising 68-35 defeat at the hands of Thomasville when the teams last played back in February. Can South Davidson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
