Volleyball Game Preview: Rogers Royals vs. Maple Grove Crimson

The Rogers Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Maple Grove Crimson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rogers will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.

Rogers is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Anoka, who was ranked third at the time (Rogers was ranked first). The Royals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tornadoes on Friday.

While Rogers won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Maple Grove made easy work of Centennial on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crimson.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.

Rogers' victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Maple Grove, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Rogers beat Maple Grove 2-0 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Crimson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
