Softball Game Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. State College Little Lions

The Central Dauphin Rams will face off against the State College Little Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Dauphin's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so State College's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Central Dauphin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Pennsylvania's top teams: Cumberland Valley, who was ranked third at the time (Central Dauphin was ranked tenth). The Rams fell 6-3 to the Eagles on Monday. The match marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, while State College put up some runs on Sunday, the same can't be said for Mifflin County. The Little Lions blew past the Huskies 10-0. The Little Lions haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jessica Hawbaker and Kara Rhinehart did most of the damage at the plate: Hawbaker scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Rhinehart scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Wells, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

State College always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central Dauphin fell to 7-1. As for State College, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
