Basketball Game Preview: Pender Patriots vs. West Columbus Vikings

The Pender Patriots just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the West Columbus Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pender is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season.

Pender is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down East Bladen 66-48 on Monday.

Pender's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Hansley, who posted 16 points along with seven boards and three steals. Hansley's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Ryan Howell was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, West Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against East Bladen, falling 54-27.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for West Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Pender took their win against West Columbus when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 64-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pender since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
