Gateway has gone a perfect 7-0 against Woodland Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gators will face off against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Gateway will be strutting in after a win while Woodland Hills will be coming in after a loss.

Gateway came out on top against Carrick on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run fourth inning. The Gators were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Meghan Marsh was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Marsh was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alayna Dawson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Malia Clemens, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Gateway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrick only posted an OBP of .300.

Meanwhile, Woodland Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 28-0 to Hempfield Area.

Gateway's record is now 5-11. As for Woodland Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Gateway took their victory against Woodland Hills in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
