Softball Recap: Pojoaque Valley Takes a Loss

Pojoaque Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Taos Tigers. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Lilah Herrera was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Izabella Lujan was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Pojoaque Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Taos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pojoaque Valley will face off against rival Los Alamos at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Taos is set to take on their familiar foe Moriarty at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
