Big Walnut waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They strolled past the Dublin Scioto Irish with points to spare, taking the game 55-40. The Golden Eagles pushed the score to 47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Irish cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Dublin Scioto still got an impressive performance from Niah Smedley, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. Smedley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Callie Smoot was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Big Walnut pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points over those games. As for Dublin Scioto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Big Walnut has already played their next game, a 63-32 win against Marysville on the 11th. Dublin Scioto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
