Softball Recap: Baboquivari Takes a Loss

Baboquivari extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-15 in the process. They lost 26-5 to the Duncan Wildkats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildkats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

As for Duncan, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5. The result was nothing new for the Wildkats, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Duncan's part, Paisley Patton was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Echo Lane, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Baboquivari does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duncan, they will challenge St. David at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Wildkats will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last ten matches.
