Basketball Game Preview: Broadalbin-Perth Patriots vs. Amsterdam Rams

Broadalbin-Perth hasn't had much luck against Amsterdam recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Broadalbin-Perth Patriots will head out to challenge the Amsterdam Rams at 7:00 p.m.

Broadalbin-Perth is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Glens Falls and fell 99-33. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Black Bears are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Amsterdam strolled past Gloversville with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 59-43. The Rams pushed the score to 52-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Huskies/Dragons cut but never quite recovered from.

Broadalbin-Perth's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Amsterdam, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Broadalbin-Perth took a serious blow against Amsterdam when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 76-40. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Broadalbin-Perth was down 46-13.
