Basketball Game Preview: Twin Loup Wolves vs. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs

Twin Loup is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Twin Loup Wolves will welcome the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Twin Loup, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Twin Loup didn't have too much trouble with Elba as they won 49-31.

Meanwhile, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 57-34 to Pleasanton. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Twin Loup will need to focus on slowing down Jaycelyn Hoos, one of several Sumner-Eddyville-Miller players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Katelynn Reiter was another key player, putting up five points and six rebounds.

Twin Loup's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Twin Loup took a serious blow against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 61-31. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Twin Loup was down 35-9.
