Basketball Game Preview: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Irwin County Indians

The Atkinson County Rebels will head out to challenge the Irwin County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Atkinson County came up short against Turner County and fell 57-47.

Meanwhile, Irwin County ended up a good deal behind Clinch County on Wednesday and lost 64-45.

Atkinson County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Irwin County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Atkinson County skirted past Irwin County 57-55 in their previous matchup on January 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atkinson County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
