Basketball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-33 loss at the hands of the Roanoke-Benson Rockets. The Timberwolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Roanoke-Benson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midland has already played their next contest (against St. Bede), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Roanoke-Benson will challenge Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Marquette has won four straight at home, while Roanoke-Benson won ten straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
